Downtown Wake Forest will Host Street Festival this Weekend
On Saturday May 3rd the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce will present the 34th Annual Meet in the Street® Festival in downtown Wake Forest. The festival, which takes place every year, will feature entertainment such as live music and children’s activities, along with food and plenty of fun for the whole family.
Meet in the Street will run from 10am to 4pm along South Taylor Street and South Brooks Street, and from 10am to 6pm on South White Street. South White Street will also host an entertainment stage and beer garden for those who wish to stay until 6pm. Admission to the festival is free, and there are plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy. In addition to the numerous artisans’ booths that will feature arts and crafts, performances from organizations such as Level Up All Star Cheerleading and the Wake Forest Elementary Choir, will take place throughout the day in front of the Wake Forest Town Hall.
Festival-goers will also have the chance to catch live music throughout the day from bands like the East Coast Rhythm & Blues Band and the Will McBride Group. Even experience a taste of Liverpool with Beatles cover band, Liverpool of the Carolinas. This is a great event for families throughout Wake Forest and Raleigh, and is supported by many Wake Forest businesses.
