Dr. Robbie Smith, DDS - President
"I have been practicing dentistry since I graduated from the UNC School of Dentistry in 1997. My excitement for dentistry and creating healthy, beautiful smiles, continues to grow. Much like the eyes are windows to the soul, a confident healthy smile is often the biggest part of a first impression."
"Throughout my years of practice, I have realized that being a great dentist goes way beyond fixing broken teeth. Being able to provide a much higher level of patient care is based on expertise knowledge in my field, having empathy for my patients and being a good listener. I truly believe that I have become a more complete clinician as a direct result of my dedication to continuing education not only in dentistry, but in other related fields. Staying informed in other fields such as Medicine, Nutrition, Behavioral Science, Psychology, Genetics and Interpersonal Communication all enhance my ability to recognize systemic diseases, diabetes, cancer and psychological disorders that are often associated with dental/oral cavity disease. I am an active member our local Chapter of the Seattle Study Club and spent many early years of my career at the Las Vegas Institute of Cosmetic Dentistry. Both are recognized nationally as outstanding continuing education programs that have kept me on the cutting edge of dentistry."
"I welcome you to come by and meet my staff, take a look at the office, and see why I feel we offer one of the freshest, most innovative dentistry practices in the Wake Forest area. We will help you rediscover what an amazing person you are and help keep you healthy at the same time."
Robin Zeigler - Dental Hygienist
"I have been obsessed with teeth since the 3rd grade, so being a dental hygienist is a great fit for me! I love patient care and I strive to give quality comprehensive care to all my patients, so that they can keep a beautiful and healthy smile for a lifetime!" Born and raised in a small town in Ohio, I moved to Missouri with my family in 1998, where I attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry and graduated with a bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene. I recently relocated my family to the Wake Forest area and really love it here. I have a wonderful husband, 2 teenage boys, and a very spoiled dog. I love going to the beach and spending time with my family and friends."
Jennifer Hensley - Dental Hygienist
I was born and raised in Raleigh (Go Pack!). I attended UNC-Pembroke where I received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. Knowing that I wanted to work with people and was interested in health care, I then attended UNC-Chapel Hill where I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene. I joined Dr. Smith’s team in 2012 and am so thankful to be a part of a staff that really care about their patients. I absolutely love what I do, and I hope to help each one of my patient’s have a comfortable and enjoyable experience with us! I love spending time with my family, am actively involved in my church, and am a huge NC State fan!
Barbara Matthews - Dental Assistant
"My name is Barbara Matthews. I have worked with Dr. Smith since 2005. I work as her dental assistant in the practice we have built here. I am happily married and have two beautiful daughters and a handsome son."
"I have 20 years of experience in the dental field and went to Wake Tech for my initial training. I really enjoy dentistry and am excited at how far it has progressed in my 20 years."
Amy Houston - Office Manager
As Dr. Smith's Office manager, I am charged with making your visit an exceptional experience. After graduating from UNC Wilmington, I entered into a banking career for 23 years, which allowed me to develop my management and customer service skills. My background in business allows me to make your visit to our office professional and relaxing. I look forward to personally greeting our patients each day and making your visit with us a pleasant one.
Jillian Huff - Patient Coordinator
I joined Dr. Smith’s dental team in February of 2014. I have a bachelor’s degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in psychology. As patient care coordinator, I am the first face you see when walking in the door. I enjoy welcoming patients upon arrival with a smile and making them feel comfortable as they prepare for their appointment. My degree in psychology has enabled me to relate to patients and their various needs as well as understand any nervousness or anxiety they may be feeling. I spend most of my work day in the front office greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and helping with various administrative duties. On days off, I love going to coffee shops, cheering on my Carolina Tarheels (Go Heels!) and spending time with my husband, daughter and godson.
