Types of Dentures

We specialize in two types of complete dentures: Implant-retained dentures and Traditional dentures. Ultimately, it is the patient’s decision of which denture model they receive. However, our doctors will always offer advice and guidance on which denture is the best choice for you. View our denture types below!

Implant-Retained Dentures

Known for their stability, implant-retained dentures are ‘retained’ to either jaw, making them ideal for eating and drinking. These kinds of dentures are also typically the best fit for lower jaw implants, as they are quite compatible with the shape of the lower mandible.

Traditional Dentures

Traditional dentures are just as effective and beautiful as retained dentures, but can be installed and removed manually by the wearer. They are less invasive than retained dentures, which is why many of our patients prefer this more convenient implant solution.

Partial Dentures

Unlike complete dentures which restore full rows of teeth, partial dentures are installed to replace ‘partial’ gaps of missing teeth. They are great for reducing tooth drift and bite changes that tend to occur with the loss of several teeth. Partials are also held in place by the surrounding teeth. That means it is vital for your stabilizing teeth to be strong and healthy.
